Riffstone - Zodiac - Progressive Voyages Review

I really cannot believe the work ethic of these 2 guys, David Allen and Colin Powell who work together and also alone in creating their enduring legacy of music, in the past year we have had 5 albums from Riffstone, One from Colin powell, and one from Dave under his Spirepology banner, each of these have been different and yet the quality never wavers, it is a testament to their creativity together resulting in a team that really does work well together.

This album Zodiac is their latest and boy is it a cracker! The theme of the album is the signs of the zodiac, Star signs etc with each sign representing a Different characteristics or traits, Now I don't believe in Horoscopes and that sort of mumbo jumbo, Though I do accept that there is a frain of truth in there somewhere,

All of this is explained in the 12 songs of the album.Which begins with Aries and continues through the Astral calendar, zthe musi is symphonic progressive rock music and it is full of great keyboard segments and suitably epic Guitar solo's that accompany each track.

I must comment on the deeply satisfying artwork that comes with the CD, I know a lot of it has been completed using AI tools No matter it is simply stunning a T shirt of this would be a wonderful thing such is its excellence.of its design, the same picture appear on the cd tray as well in addition the booklet contains a Celestial map of the stars highlighting each stars place in the heavenly bodies.

As I've said earlier there is not a bad track on the album but if pushed I would recommend the run of Leo Virgo and Libra and also the final run of Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces are these are strong segmentsin all of these great tracks.

So hats off once again to Colin Powell and Dave Allen and to their ever progressing friendship and creativity under the Riffstone Banner, Whether it is the intelligent lyrics or the excellent and at times muscular instrumental workm. Or the wonderful soundIng production , I do feel that this partnership and album have much to commend it. Here's to the next chapter in whatever form it may take, Count me in for it.

Heartily recommend from here.
