John Wenlock-Smith
I am John Wenlock-Smith and am 65 years of age and also a stroke survivor (8 years ago now).
I have Vascular Dementia so I get confused and mix things up a little in my mind but I am generally OK as I have a loving wife who keeps me on the right track.
I have loved Prog since first hearing ELP and Yes in my teens and started going to concerts in 1975 and have not stopped since.
In the past I have written reviews for DPRP and The Progressive Aspect and for the last few years I have written for Progradar, which has unfortunately ceased to exist for various reasons, and so because of this I have chosen to start my own review site which is called:
PROGRESSIVE VOYAGES
a site which aims to bring considered critiques and reviews of new Progressive Rock albums.
As we all know the best Prog takes you on a journey of discovery in your own mind, as The music conjures up images and feeling unique to each individual listener
So Hop on Board and join the Cruise, Welcome Aboard as we take a journey into the Topographic Oceans of the music we all love and enjoy!
Anchors Aweigh (as they say in nautical speak).
If you would like a review for your album
Please email me at
Jwenlocksmithjt44@gmail.com and we can sort something out for you
Here's to the future!

Christopher Clark
Hi! My name is Christopher Clark, and I live in the wilds of West Texas…. namely, Odessa. I am 50 years old, and I have been an avid fan of music since my childhood years, and became obsessed with it when I discovered Rush in my early teens. Since that time, my love of progressive rock has grown to the point that it is what I listen to the most, and my passion for it can be described as “extreme”.
I am interested in, and love, almost every sub-genre of progressive rock; classic prog, neo-prog, symphonic prog, avant-garde/Rock In Opposition, progressive metal and art prog are all genres I enjoy immensely. Some of my favorite artists are Rush, Andy Tillison (in both The Tangent and all of his solo work and Parallel or 90 Degrees), Van Der Graaf Generator, The Flower Kings, Henry Cow, Present, Thinking Plague, Bob Drake, French TV, Univers Zero, Dream Theater…. The list can go on and on and on. I have a VAST and ever-growing physical progressive rock CD collection (as well as a lot of other regular rock discs!) that I am quite proud of.
In my “real life”, I am judge (and have been for 16 years) and in addition to music (which I listen to constantly) I enjoy reading, movies and sports. I am also a drummer, and am currently playing in a local band called ‘Warner & Forbes’ (and sometimes called ‘Follow the Awakened’). In addition to playing covers of all the best classic rock songs (including Rush, Kansas and the like) we are currently beginning to write some progressive material of our own that we will hopefully be able to share with you all someday soon.
This is my first “reviewer” gig, and I would like to extend a special thank you to John for this opportunity. I have always wanted to do this, and have wondered if I could be good at it. Hopefully, I will show you all that John’s faith in me is well-placed, you will enjoy the reviews, and maybe…. just maybe…. I can help encourage you all to take a chance on a new band or to buy an album, and can help make a mark on the world of the greatest music ever penned and put to record: progressive rock!
